The best weekend ever!

This weekend I celebrated Early Christmas with my lovely boy, who came all the way from Oxford to be with me.

There were presents!
He got me things I asked for on my Amazon wishlist! I was really pleased with the selection! I got The Hunger Games trilogy, Whip It (I love the film and am eager to see what the books like!), Audition (which the film of the same title is based on), the new Nightwish album and Fables "From Fabletown with Love" which is a standalone book of stories about Cinderella.

In return, I got him a Guilty Gear game for his Wii, a big sleepy lion cuddly and a customised tee-shirt that says "watch out for snakes" which comes from the Eegah episode of Mystery Science Theatre 3000, our favourite show to watch together!

We also went to see Peter Pan at the Bristol Hippodrome. It had David Hasselhoff as Captain Hook! It was the most surreal piece of performance art I have ever seen! There was a Baywatch joke AND a Knightride joke AND he sung "Jump in my car." It was so funny and weird xD

After we came out of the theatre, it was snowing! We quickly realised it wasn't real snow but was foam. It was brilliant.

Then we went up Park St for our Christmas meal - Nandos! It's my favourite restaurant and we even shared some chocolate ice cream for desserts, which I've never had there before because I always eat too much and end up with a food baby.

Before Alex went home this afternoon we had breakfast at Wetherspoons. I had really nommy pancakes with bacon, egg and maple syrup - my favourite breakfast food. No wonder I put on weight with such delicious things available. We then watched an episode of Game of Thrones, which I am enjoying immensely and cuddled for a while before I walked him halfway to the train station.

It was an awesome start to my Christmas celebrations. On Friday I will go to my Mum's house for 2 weeks to celebrate Christmas proper with my family and see all my Midlands friends. And I'm going to London for 2 days to celebrate the new year with some of my London friends and Alex. I can't wait. I think this might be the best Christmas I'll ever have!

I'm so glad that I feel a lot happier about Christmas this year - last year I was so horribly depressed that I couldn't muster up any enthusiasm at all, especially  because I couldn't afford to buy my nieces and nephews any gifts. This year I've managed on a tight budget to get everything I need to.

I'll leave you with this awesome picture that my friend Sophie drew of me, her and our friend Pie as My Little Ponies! We are all pony collectors so it's only fitting. Isn't it wonderful?

International Lolita Day

International Lolita Day (winter edition) started nice and early for me - awake at 8am and out of the house at 9am to go pony hunting! I was in luck; the charity shop has just opened and the lady remembered me from last week. I came away with three ponies. Including a unicorn!

I got Cotton Candy, Sparkleworks and Whistle Wishes. Not bad for £1.50!

I then got ready to go to Bath to meet all my loli friends. I was lucky in that I had prepared everything the night before, including practicing my make-up so getting ready wasn't as bog as a hassle as it normally would be!

After meeting my friend Syd in Bristol (she came all the way from Bedworth!) we headed to Bath. The train was totally rammed and we were like sardines in a tin can - which is very awkward in lolita!

It was great seeing all my South West friends again -  I hadn't seen them since the zoo meet in August! Real life and things often get in the way of frilly commitments. Amy had a present for me - hairbows I had commissioned from her!

Lovely Monika gave us all a gift too! Really cute phone charms she made. Now I need to get a phone case to attach them too! xD

Unfortunately the strudel bar was unable to accomodate all of us, which was a shame because it looked really lovely. A few of us ended up going for chinese food because we were hungry! Syd and I left early, because I was feeling really run down from all the walking and it was SO busy in Bath that I couldn't handle how crowded it was. Syd was getting a megabus back to Birmingham from Bristol so she came to my house for a cup of tea and a chat before leaving.

Despite bowing out so early, I had a lovely day and it was wonderful to see all my friends and make new ones too!

Insert Rebecca Black Reference Here

Today I had a to do list which consisted mainly of trying to find things for my hair for tomorrow's loli meet, getting a wig cap and new socks and making sure my clothes were ready for tomorrow!

I set off quite early at 11am and had a wander around the shops by my house in search of pink roses for my outift. I had no such luck :( After that I went into town.

I got some black, thick OTK socks with ribbon tied in a bow at the top from Primark, a new wig cap (cos mine has disappeared into the ether, much like many other things!) and I even managed to get my boyfriend a christmas present (after much hmming and aaahing!).

But the best part of the day was when I had a look in Family Bargains, a really cheap shop, for Christmas presents for my nieces and nephews. I found a Gen 3 Rainbow Dash!

She even came with a free VHS tape xD

I was really pleased that I'd found her and she only cost me £3.99! Which is still the equivalent of 7 of my other ponies which cost me 50p each! I seem to be having all the luck when it comes to pony collecting! I'm going to use the packaging to make badges - I'd been looking for cute things to use in my Badge It for ages.

Now, my clothes are hanging on my wardrobe doors ready for tomorrow. I'm getting up fairly early because the charity shop where I got some ponies for 50p last week are selling some more tomorrow and I want to go before I meet my friend and go to Bath.

As for the rest of the day, I think I shall just go SPLAT!
